Communication Censoring

The reason forcing us to having to replace punctuation and spaces from chat room names is that there was an error in text formatting which adds weird stuff to the end of words that can’t be displayed due to space constraints. This was particularly noticeable in chat room names. The weird logic did take correctly into account the escape sequences for punctuation and space, and clipped them in the middle which didn’t go well inside our web server resulting in really weird things happening. As we don’t allow spaces or anything but letters and numbers in user account names anyway, we don’t see this being a problem.
